Re: I can't take a screenshot when MintMenu is open

No, you can't take a screenshot of the menu by default. Ok. Thank you. I did it this way: Menu > Accessories > Take Screenshot check "Grab the whole desktop" Change "Grab after a delay of 0 seconds" to 7 seconds Click Take Screenshot Open MintMenu Screenshot will take a picture of whole desktop, in...

[Solved] I can't take a screenshot when MintMenu is open

I have Linux Mint Maya with Mate installed and I was trying to take a screenshot with Mint Menu open and I couldn't. The button doesn't even respond. I don't have any other DE's installed at moment to give it a try to see if this is a specific issue to Mate. Print screen button works normally at any...

Re: Linux Mint Debian 201109 - root password

[...]I'm trying to install lmde from a live-usb[...] how did you create that live-usb? Same problem here, I used Lilo and unetbootin. Funny thing, soon as this version was released I installed without any problem via USB. Now I'm stuck into it. I'm trying using the same old file I downloaded by the...

Re: building Cinnamon (sid)

Hi.
I followed the steps and installed missing libraries then the cinnamon-session.
When I start the session with cinnamon it shows me some error about gnome-shell and falls back to my default manager (which is Gnome 3).

Re: [SOLVED]High memory usage

Well, sounds like good work :D Hope after all things done, your "free" command with the same applications / tabs loaded looks a lot better in total also. It's acceptable now, but I edited it to [Solved] tag. Maybe in the future with newer applications eating more resources I'll be back here to cry ...

Re: High memory usage (or it's retirement time for my comput

Haven't actually used lmde or any LM Debian based. I'm on a Debian stable distro and a coupla of others. Am too tired to go through a list of all those services. When in doubt ... google, when unsure, leave the service set to default. :D cups could be one, if you don't have printing, samba ( do you...

Re: High memory usage (or it's retirement time for my comput

Have a look at Menu -> Control Center -> System Monitor. Go to the Processes tab. Click the column header for Memory or CPU (make sure to click twice, so an upwards facing arrow is show), to sort the applications on that and have a look if you are running anything that you might not need. Post a sc...

I'm having high memory usage with my LMDE 64 bits with Gnome (I'm actually following Debian Testing repositories). Some background info about my experience with computers (tl;dr): I'm new to Linux Universe, I was using Windows since I was introduced to computers but I have the desire to have the lat...

Sorry to reply and old post, but it's important. Hey Pranaone I receveid and replied your last e-mail by a feature this forum uses, but since then I've never got any reply from you.
