Update: Tried it, even rebooted, but still no luck. This icon should be somewhere else.

Ok, thank again mate. I'll try this and get back to share what's happened.

Re: How to change the Show Desktop Button icon on my panel??

Want to know the same. Thanks in advance. Try looking in /usr/share/icons/gnome/24x24/apps. It's probably the one named "preferences-desktop-display.png". You would need to copy a new image file (in .png format) into that directory as root. Rename the one already there as pref.old or some such, and...

Re: How to increase space between Sensors Applet readings?

Found a way to at least hide the °C The units for sensor values can also be hidden if desired by setting the boolean value /apps/sensors-applet/hide-units within the user's GConf database. This can be achieved by the following command, where the value is specified as either true or false and is spec...

Re: Hi, is it only my system or Indicator Applet is differen

Thanks, dude! Let's hope someone will notice. It's a pitty because Mint Gnome has the most stylish GUI I've ever seen and such a minor issue ruins it all.

So it's not only me. That's not good. Who do you think we should contact? Or where can I suggest it as a bug?

Hi, is it only my system or Indicator Applet is different?

Hi, is it only with my installation or the Indicator Applet is in a slightly different, darker shade of grey? It's been like this since I installed Julia, but I thought there'll be an update that will finally fix this glitch. Unfortunately nothing changes, so I ask here - are there others having thi...

Could not download repository archive.removed.net

Hi guys/ladies, my problem appeared yesterday. I googled it and I saw that sometimes it disappears by itself, so I decided to wait a while if there's some problem with the repo servers. Today I tried again, but mintUpdate is still stuck: http://imgf.tw/209909866t.png [click to enlarge] Could not dow...

Pidgin "Logging of this conversation failed" issue (Mint 10)

Hi, I'm using Pidgin (only the ICQ plugin), but I get "Logging of this conversation failed" every time I try to chat with my mates and, if I close the chat window, the whole conversation is lost without a trace. Please help. Thanks in advance. P.S. I'd also like to know how to make Pidgin use the st...

Re: Discussion about Adobe Photoshop/Wine on Linux Mint.

Just for the sake of reference, I had some issues getting good performance out of CS3, but it did run and function well enough to get some work done if you don't mind a bit of lag from time to time (this was a 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo with 4 GB RAM). I also have E7300 @ 2.66 and 4GB RAM and CS5 runs fin...

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread

ivan_rookie, your lower panel, whatever you are using, looks awesome! The wallpaper looks cool with your setup too. Thanks, man. The panel I'm using is a simple screenlet (package 'screenlets') called PlacesScreenlet v0.1 by Helder Fraga aka Whise . The wallpaper is Green Stripes , but flipped hori...
