I can't re-create the issue in Kubuntu. Regardless of font the the kerning is normal. Perhaps it's an issue specific to Linux Mint? Have you tried any other KDE distro?

Settings look standard.

What font does Linux Mint default to that makes the spacing irregular? I'll see if I can re-create the problem. In Kubuntu the default font is Ubuntu (with no issue).

I'm not on Linux Mint KDE but I do use Kubuntu (KDE version 4.14.2) and I don't have any issues with the fonts in the title bar. In fact, even in past versions of Kubuntu I've never seen this issue. Therefore, it must be related to Linux Mint and not specifically to KDE. Out of interest what are you...

This is the stable build ppa, not the daily build ppa. It's okay to use this ppa.

You can Install it using the following:

No, but if you open Chrome > Right Click On Chrome Taskbar > Select Use System Title Bars & Borders

Go to System Settings > Workspace Appearance > Windows Decorations > Configure Buttons
You can then drag the buttons around where you want them.

As above, but also check that you downloaded the correct file for your system. You can get these errors when you try to install a 32 bit app on a 64 bit system.
