Testing vs Stable

Love LMDE. Distro hopped for two years and realized four months ago that LMDE had all I was looking for. Here's the question... Love the idea of the "Rolling Release" but Testing is not really a true rolling release. Also, love the idea of Stable Debian as I my needs do not require "bleeding edge" pa...

SMXI opinions please...

I have ran SMXI before but never with LMDE. The only benefit I can see is if someone wants to go to Unstable and add Aptosid repos to safeguard against breakage. With the volatility that should happen with Unstable after Stable is released this doesn't sound like a good move right now (meaning movin...

Thanks for the input on XFCE Oscar....

Did you keep Gnome or delete? If keep, I am assuming you just choose which you want at login?

Re: Change to KDE system default DE

Yes....I know LMDE's release is just a Gnome release so far.

I added KDE-full and choose which DE I want at Login,

Right now it is defaulting to Gnome. I want it to default to KDE. I am not trying to delete KDE, I just don't want it to be my default desktop environment.

Thanks.

Change to KDE system default DE

I have been with LMDE a week now and I am thrilled with this. This rolling release distro has met my OS needs and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Great to be back with Mint again. Congrats to Clem and his team. Quick question... Bigger fan of KDE than Gnome. Installed KDE-Full. System Default option st...
