permissions tutorials

Hi, I have been looking for a comprehensive permissions tutorial but didn't find any. I remember there's one Clement made in his blog years ago. I had a copy of it but I accidentally deleted it. Can anyone point me where it is? Or does anyone here know the link of Clem's archived blogs?

Thanks

Re: LAMP on Mint?

This question pops up every now and then, I think it's best answered here! No offense. Instead of leading our members to a dead end, we should offer them alternatives as much as possible. In that way, they would feel welcomed to Mint or any other distros. I am not a Linux expert. I can't even do a ...

English to French?

Hi to all! I don't know how to say this. It's kinda stupid to ask, please don't kill me. The only foreign language I know is English. I just have this English phrase which I want to be translated into French or German or any language in Europe. I know I can google it somewhere but I feel like I can ...

Re: About KDE CE 5.0 Elyssa

muskratmx, With all the buzz in the internet...with KDE being a cross-platform DE and all its apps, more usable, configurable, and more eye candy...I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be given much more attention and support. Yes it mimics Windows, but what's wrong with it? As long as it doesn't...

Re: How to install icons?

Hi, I don't want to mess up either, but if not, then u only got the default theme, right? Anyway, I usually open mint menu, go to preference, select theme. On opened theme window, select customise, then move to the 'icon' tab. From that tab, select install, and point to the location where you keep ...

Re: Debian CE Artwork...

@kynan :D i'm having a hard time explaining what's really in my mind here. i guess this is the consequence when english is not your native language. :D anyway what i meant was put the silver linings "ON" the "Mint" word itself...the same manner they were put on the LM-logo...the linings must be glos...

Re: Revamp Linux Mint Logo?

Now look at Mint: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mint Loaaads of things, most of which have nothing to do with computers. Even if we had millions to spend on advertising Mint it would always mean a whole bunch of different things to different people. But isn't that the point?! That it should mean som...
