it freezes because of the notification apparently...
while (if) its fixed, this can be commented out on line 6450 of applet.js //Main.notify("repos", e.message);
you can still notice the delay while hovering the items in the menu list though..

I edited /usr/share/cinnamon/applets/systray@cinnamon.org/applet.js and removed clementine from the hidden icons.
it worked of course.

Re: How about dropping Rhythmbox as default player?
IMO, Rhythmbox is just fine as the default if other players are easily installed by the user (which they are). As far as the # 7 "that new end users are the main aspect to consider" I somewhat agree, but I also believe that Linux is not Windows. If I wanted something similar to Windows an...

Re: How about dropping Rhythmbox as default player?
Rhythmbox should stay as it is the GNOME default. It really doesn't matter to me because as is the cool thing about Linux, I'm going to do what I want to do. I remove Rhythmbox and replace it with Songbird. VLC is out as a default because of the QT dependencies. If I want QT, I'll use KDE... Yes, i...

The choice of a music player its a very subjective matter I think you've said it all right there, so to me it hardly matters what is included as the default, as long as it does its job and as long as other players are easily installable (which they are) for those who do not like Rhythmbox. Sure, bu...

How about dropping Rhythmbox as default player?
Hello. Im taking the liberty to submit this to consideration.. Apologies if its the wrong place or something i shouldnt be noseing... This has been done before , for Mint5, when Amarok was taken out. That was the right choice since the Amarok KDE dependencies were trouble for some people, and becaus...

Re: "remember authentication" feature for hard disks[SOLVED]
This is very annoying. Theres a "save session" option in preferences, meaning that after restart, i wont have to open up all docs i was working on. So if automount is disabled by default, guess what? all docs are unavailable upon restart!! so i got this "cant find file" error and...
