Re: [SOLVED] arduino IDE need superuser rights?

Not directly related to your question, but take a look at Atom + PlatformIO combination, as it's really superior IDE for Arduino development, even with free community version of PlatformIO.

Re: email client Thunderbird alternatives?

I've been using TB for 15 years now and I finally ditched it because with latest version which came with Mint 19, minimize to tray addon was broken, and no other addons with this functionality exists. It's really shame for TB devs that they never implemented that feature into TB, but left it to 3rd ...

Re: "Language en does not exist" error uppon login

Well, after setting the default language to English US in login window, error message disappears.

Strange.

Re: "Language en does not exist" error uppon login

After adding second line to /etc/default/locale things became somewhat better. I am able to run some programs which I wasn't able before, but the login error still persists.

Code: Select all

eden@sunce:~> cat /etc/default/locale
LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8"

"Language en does not exist" error uppon login

Hi. I was using Linux Mint 12 and yesterday I finally decided to install 14 64bit / MATE on my desktop. I did clean install with format (/home is on separate partition and it's intact). After login, before desktop is shown, error dialog pops with message "Language en does not exist: using system def...

Re: [solved] How to compile GIMP 2.8 on Debian?

edkirin, the instructions in this topic are for lmde (linux mint debian edition), you are running eventually mint12-lisa (i hope) or worst case scenario mint11-katya. this method is not supported in those editions. if you are running mint12 see this http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=...

Re: [solved] How to compile GIMP 2.8 on Debian?

I have the same problem as roger64, but I can't solve it: eden@sunce:/tmp/gimp/gimp-2.8.0> ./configure --prefix=/home/me/.gimp --disable-python .. snip.. checking for connect... yes checking for remove... yes checking for shmat... yes checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes checking for pkg...

Re: Taskbar buttons ordering

Hm, well I don't know why it wouldn't work properly for you when it works just fine for me lately... Unless one of the bugs in Compiz could possibly be affecting it somehow, I did downgrade from the buggy rewritten 0.9.4 version to the more stable 0.8.6 version... Even if it might not fix the probl...

Re: Taskbar buttons ordering

This functionality should still be present... I have run into this issue before but I never was able to trace the cause, sometimes it just happened. Lately I haven't run into this problem (or having applets fail to load, another panel-related issue I used to have...) so I honestly can't say I know ...

Taskbar buttons ordering

Hi.

In Mint 10 I was able to change taskbar application buttons order by dragging it to the new position. Now, in Mint 11 this is not possible. How can I get this feature active again?

It's important to me because I have my usual windows order when I work.

Thanks.

Mint crash with Krusader

Hi. I have Linux Mint v10 64bit installed on my Dell N5010. It crashes with Krusader (file manager). When I go to Settings / Configure Krusader everything is ok. When I click Panel settings, X just crashes and returns to log screen. On my desktop computer with the same Linux Mint configuration every...
