mintCast in 2018

We're always looking for suggestions for things to talk about or work on for mintCast. If you have any ideas, let us know! I have not been very regular here on the Linux Mint Forums, but I'm planning to change that in 2018. The challenge is ... where to start! See you on the Live Stream, Sundays at ...

Re: update firefox in mint 18

I'm still getting an error... perhaps unrelated? I have not restarted Firefox after making the suggested change. I upgraded from 17.3 > 18. Screenshot from 2016-08-08 07-03-42.png Update: Looks like it might be an issue with the way DuckDuckGo is being added. I can add Google and ixquick just fine. ...

Shh...It's Private! mintCast 207 is out.

We had a great talk with Mark Greene about privacy tools in the FOSS world.

mintCast 179 -- A Pi in the Cloud is posted

mintCast 179 - A Pi in the Cloud ... http://mintcast.org/2013/10/17/mintcast-179-pi-cloud/ While I enjoyed tinkering with the Raspberry Pi for the episode, I wonder if any of these applications are really what the thing is good at. It seems to me that a simple fanless box running Mint wou...

Re: No Wonder This Forum is so seldom used...

I agree Bill. After we talked about this last week, I've been wandering over here every so often to see what's up. Took me a while to find the forum, and I knew generally where it was! Oh, well.

Re: Mint 13 installation failure [SOLVED]

I can confirm that this bug (and the associated fix) are still affecting Mint 14 (32-bit Cinnamon -- haven't tried others yet). Not too surprising since this is an upstream bug that appeared in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and was apparently not fixed for Ubuntu 12.10. I think it only affects a fairly small fra...

Re: Welcome to the mintCast forums (please say "Hi")

Howdy all!

Just started to listen to mintCast a little while ago, and am sad to learn in #49 that the crew is having to step down. Doesn't seem right. This is something that really should continue.

Running Linux Mint 9 Isadora. Really should upgrade sometime soon, I guess!
