Re: Assign Home partition to existing home on seperate disk

Hello!
It's possible, but I would suggest that you bind your LM9 home folders to your LMDE home.
Have a look at this nice how-to by altair4:

Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop

Things to do while doing dist-upgrade after 2 months of internet shadow.... 4 different installs, it took ages, so I had to come up with something creative to do. Since the first real snow came the other day why not make a one of a kind hat to keep my hairless head warm  And also my new gnome-...

Re: What the !!?? is this?

Could be good, but since I don't have cgroup-bin or libcgroup1 installed I'll remove it until I know what the advantage is.
For anyone with a server it might make sense:

Re: What the !!?? is this?

Well we're all pretty good at what we do
Remove this file: /usr/local/sbin/cgroup_clean

Re: What the !!?? is this?

I've been wondering what this was in my /etc/rc.local:

mkdir -p /dev/cgroup/cpu
mount -t cgroup cgroup /dev/cgroup/cpu -o cpu
mkdir -m 0777 /dev/cgroup/cpu/user
echo "/usr/local/sbin/cgroup_clean" > /dev/cgroup/cpu/release_agent

Now I know, thank you all!

Will remove and see what happens...

Re: Mac install problem: doesn't recognise/find Mint partiti

Hello there,

Think I had to have a boot-flag on both the EFI and Linux/Grub partition to get it to boot properly when I did it.

Have fun trying....

Re: visualization from my other partition?

Hello! You can add your physical HDD to a VM in VirtualBox and then boot from that. I have used this to start another Linux installation without having to reboot. When booting that VM I get the GRUB menu as normal (haven't tried to start the same OS I'm running, yet...). Never tried it with M$ thoug...
