Re: Mint 10 can't find wireless
Well this has been an interesting read. I have just acquired an Acer laptop with a Broadcom chip, and PCLOS detected my wireless connections without having to install any extra drivers, (That was the only disk I had available at the time). But as I like Mint and have done for several years, I downlo...

GForce 7600GT
Can any one explain why neither Daryna or Elyssa will not work properly with my 7600GT card. It only gives me the 800 X 600 resolution, even if I edit the Xorg.conf file to include the correct resolution (1280 X 1024) it will not work, then I get a huge screen that I cannot use. Is there a problem w...

Mint 5 screen resolution.
I have just installed Mint 5 and I am only getting 640 X 480 resolution.
I have a LG1720B TFT monitor and a Nvidia 7600GT graphics card.
How do I force it to set to 1280 X 1024, which is the native resolution for my monitor.

CPU temperature monitor.
Is there a similar Linux program that is the equivalent to Everest or CPUZ to monitor the CPU temperature.
I tried Everest & PC wizard in WINE but they will not work.

Re: 3D acceleration.
I have given up and gone back to Celena.
I have spent 2 days trying to resolve this problem so it looks like giving Daryna a miss.
Thanks for your help.

Re: 3D acceleration.
Husse thank you for your reply but when I ran xvidtune and looked in xorg those valuse were already in there. I reinstalled Daryna again and installed the Nvidia drivers and on reboot the same thing happened out of range again. My card is a Nvidia 7600 GT 256mb. I rebooted into the recovery console ...

Automatic updates.
Just a quick question.
When there were updates I used to get an orange circle in the task bar, now this has changed to a padlock, is there any reason for that.

Kernel 2.6.20-16
I have Celena set up just how I like it, I switched on the other day and in the taskbar was an open padlock, not having seen this before I clicked on it and it said there was 89 updates to install, so i let it install them without looking what the updates were, (I now I should have had a look), when...
