Re: [SOLVED] mint-artwork-common > dpkg error - attn: DEVS [SOLVED]

"apt show dpkg" - shows mine is Version: 1.17.5ubuntu5.8

dpkg only updated after changing sources - then mint-artwork-common updated no problem

Re: Reverting Flashplayer version

I tried to visit games.com, to check whether my 23 had the same issues (I also use the wrapper), but that site wants me to enable a lot of javascript related junk urls - and then disable my adblocker! Nope. Not going to happen. I think you will find that they just ask to disable things like adblock...

A computer that was not upgraded (Flash - 21.0 r0) still works ok. The problem is not serious enough for me to run a two month old Systemback but please can anyone...

Re: Updating to latest ffmpeg

Thank you all41. Having read through the instructions I think I will hold off for a while - I'm not brave enough to risk other things going wrong :( get_iplayer still downloads and plays ok so I'll wait and see if the regular ffmpeg gets updated through Software Manager.

I upgraded from 17.1 to 17.2 Cinnamon and then found my HDMI setting for Digital Surround 5.1 ( like this ) keeps disappearing ( like this ). I returned to 17.1 with Systemback and found it worked ok again - but now (perhaps following a set of updates) it has even disappeared in 17.1. Although norma...

Re: HDMI sound stopped? [SOLVED]

Used Systemback to go back to 17.1 - very impressed, took less than 15min. My HDMI sound had returned. So upgraded again to 17.2 and HDMI sound still working fine. So my problem must have been caused by me trying to load module for Bluetooth music player :( I can easily live without that so me's now...

HDMI sound stopped? [SOLVED]

Have been using my Dell to show Netflicks etc happily on my TV for months with Mint 17.1 Cinnamon. Two days ago I upgraded to 17.2 - all appeared to work ok (but did not try HDMI TV). Yes - tried that twice - no difference. In any case there is no setting which mentions wireless, WLan or wifi.
