Re: Dell Mini 10 Touchpad woes in LMDE

yeah, that was going to be the next thing I try when I get the time. The issue is that I installed the liquorix kernel so I'm not sure if I can apply this patch to it. I'm thinking of trying to apply it to the old .32 kernel, then test it on the .38 liquorix kernel; or just go ahead and do a fresh i...

Re: Dell Mini 10v Touchpad woes in LMDE

So, I think I've found further info regarding this annoyance. It seems as though that on boot the kernel doesn't recognize the touchpad as an elantech touchpad and instead registers it as a generic p/s 2 mouse. I checked dmesg and this indeed seems to be the issue. I updated to the liquorix kernel t...

Dell Mini 10 Touchpad woes in LMDE

Hi, I installed lmde on a Dell Inspiron mini10v and I'm wondering if anyone has gotten the touchpad to work perfectly on their machines. The touchpad on this machine has integrated buttons in the touchpad itself. When clicking and dragging the touchpad goes schizophrenic, making it nearly impossible...

The touchpad delay is 2sec after typing.

Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for.

[Solved] Pause touchpad while typing in mint lxde

I'm wondering if there is a way to delay touchpad input while I'm typing in Mint 10 lxde. Specifically, should I edit xorg.conf (I've done this in the past where I set the touchpad to delay 2 seconds after typing) or is there a newer method? If I have to edit xorg.conf, does anyone have a link for t...

Thanks a lot! For some reason I wasn't able to capture my power button in xbindkeys, so I ended up mapping it to the home key.

Re: mintinput

I figured this out earlier. It's a bug with the version of lxinput that lubuntu uses. (There's a new version that fixes this issue)

The best workaround is to put "@xset m 9 6" into your startup script, located here: /etc/xdg/lxsession/Mint/autostart

Re: Mint 10 LXDE: "Suspend"

I have this (or a similar) issue on both of my laptops. I asked a question before in the bugs post, but didn't get a reply. The issue seems to be that the power button is not mapped in lxde correctly. I was interested in what command brings up the mint logout/suspend dialog. Then it would just be as...

Re: Mint 10 LXDE RC issues and bug.

I've been using the RC on 2 separate laptops for the past week, and I have to say it really is slick. I used peppermint ice before this and mint lxde seems to be a lot more polished and fixed many of the gripes I had with peppermint (since it was based off the last release, I'm sure these issues wer...
