Re: Chat about streaming TV issues
Right. The fixes generally work for a while before they need fixing again. For me, currently, Hulu and Acorn TV don't work on Chrome or Firefox. If the past is an indication, a fix will come along and they will work again. I don't think "we" should get into a technical chat here on this th...

Re: Ubuntu 15.10 Gnome
I've been liking Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 a whole lot. For KDE, I prefer Mint KDE or Netrunner over Kubuntu.

I wish I could help, but I've never had a good time with Brasero. I use K3b with no problems. Good luck.

Re: What is "Unattended-upgrade" about?
It will come through on Update Manager, but if you encounter problems, you can also do a fresh install from a download. Don't worry about asking questions. Another question I have is, I noticed that there is now a 17.2 version of Linux Mint, does this require a full download and install, or will it ...

Re: Distros with a LXDE edition?
If you feel you don't have the skill needed to do what you want, I suggest you try Peppermint. It's very reliable. The community is smaller and the forum quieter, and the folks are nice and helpful. For myself, as an LXDE user, I agree with xenopeek that, as LXDE transitions into LXQT, the timing mi...

Re: Ever use Brasero to create a bootable disk?
Should you have trouble burning in the future, GreenAce92, try K3b. It's very consistent. I also recommend Mint 17.1 highly.

Well, I like Firefox, so there. Why don't you just use another browser?

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Xfce RC released!
I installed Mint 17.1 xfce RC and it's working great. In the end, the RC should be at the final version. If something went wrong then I'd do a fresh install, but that's pretty rare, in my experience. I don't see a reason to install 17 if you're intending to go to 17.1.

Re: Netflix Desktop + Hulu
I haven't run into that problem on Firefox, so I can't help, but if you want straightforward access to Netflix and Hulu Plus in a browser, I suggest downloading and installing Google Chrome . Both will work automatically, avoiding the finagling around you usually have to do on Firefox in Linux. Good...

Re: Amazon Instant Video won't work in Linux Mint 17
See Irishwoody's instructions:
http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 66#p866278
Go step by step. It worked for me on 17 and 17.1.
I do use Google Chrome for Netflix and Hulu Plus, but Amazon streaming video works better for me on Firefox.
Good luck.
