The announcement and blog post for the upgrade will be coming out within the next few days.

It may not have been announced yet, but the upgrade is available in Update Manager.

I've rebooted a few times today and not once has the GRUB prompt reared its ugly head, so I'm going to mark this as Solved. Thanks, everyone!

I put those entries into /etc/default/grub to tie off my ipv6 since I occasionaly use a VPN and it doesn't mask my ipv6 address. I recycled the existing partitions, formatting root but leaving the others the same.
