Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

I started this team in 2007. I started Team Micromart, can’t remember when. That shut down when the magazine and forum closed. I also started the Crunchbang Linux team, alas that no longer exists either. Folding on and off for years.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

Just came across this on Folding@Home Forum. Re: 7.6.9 - how to update to it Unread postby ajm » Tue Apr 21, 2020 5:12 am In principle, you can simply run the installer and it will upgrade your present version; you don't have to uninstall/reinstall. BUT if you are now successfully folding with 7.5.1...

Hi Keith. Don’t know. Not actually read up on it. Might call over at Folding forum and read up on it later.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

Also the number of teams that are starting up due to COVID is unbelievable. I think folding@home is now in excess of 2.4 Exaflop. This is greater than the top 600 supercomputers combined.

Have you changed gpu=true in advanced settings and restarted client. Then you can add a gpu slot.

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

Thanks for that Greerd. I will have a read of that. That 57th position as far as I can make out was for teams with “Linux” in there team name. Not 57th overall. 😊 Seems I was mistaken about the original post having a Tricks and Tips sticky. It must have been when I was folding for a previous team. A...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

Don't think many can remember the original folding post from years ago when me and one or more people started the team off. I'm sure we used to have a sticky right at the beginning of the post that contained all the relevant folding info for all to see along with links to tricks and tips. Do you thi...

Re: Folding@home-Team Linux Mint-76140

The 1st on the list is the actual client that makes your computer Fold, you definitely need this. The 2nd is the controller interface to configure the above client, you need this. The 3rd is the viewer for the protein being folded, you don't need this. But you can install it if you want. Most people...

Re: Mint Mate USB burning problem

Are you using windows by any chance,

This is the sort of error I would expect from a windows system when you have a linux disk plugged in.
