I second PCLinuxOS. I tried it and liked it quite a bit. If I wasn't so partial to Debian based systems I would probably still be using it.

Re: How to install the Nvidia proprietary drivers in LinuxMi

The easiest way to get Nvidia drivers installed is to use SGFXI.

I have used this in Ubuntu, Mint, Mepis, Bodhi, and Crunchbang to successfully install an Nvidia driver to various computers.

Re: How do I install NVIDIA in Mint KDE ???

I just noticed that SMXI is not supported in Ubuntu based distros but SGFXI is so make sure to use that one. SGFXI is used to install NVIDIA drivers which is what you want. SMXI does that plus many other things as well but according to the documentation you will have to use SGFXI.

Re: How do I install NVIDIA in Mint KDE ???

I have used it many times, I'm pretty sure that it worked smoothly for me in Mint 15 KDE. Read through the information at the link a...

Re: Can't switch back to tty 7

I have had some strange issues with this as well that I can't figure out. In the past the first person to have logged in was "CTRL-ALT-F7", the second was F8, and so on. What I can't figure out is that for me now, when I log in first I am F8 and my wife logged in second is F7. I tried logging her in...

Re: Looking for Light weight Linux for my old PC !! ??

Crunchbang Linux. I have been using it on several computers and it runs very well out of the box. It uses the Openbox WM and is fairly lighweight.
