Is it possible to burn a Blu Ray to a DVD?

Thanks, I am such a putz! I forgot I was using my other hard drive with a OS I was trying out for the hell of it (Elementary) meh! It works fine in Mint 17, like pretty much everything!!

In the sound preferences the hardware profile was correct,but in output HDMI was ticked instead of onboard sound!!

Mp3 files on my drive play fine, startup sounds play, but no video audio? No matter the format, You tube, my avi's mp4's etc no sound in any player?? confused!!! it just started as of this AM??? Help,it is driving me mad!!

All you tube videos are color distorted! People have purple faces!!! both in firefox and chromium same deal on my brothers computer,Mint 11! He booted in to PCLinuxOS no color problems in you tube??? We both use nvidia cards FYI. This just started about a week or so ago!

Open Terminal put the following in and original panel returns after reboot!

gconftool-2 --shutdown
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel
pkill gnome-panel

By accident I removed my panel! I got everything back but the Smart Updater I want to have it back, How can I get that back??

Rocketfish purchased the low end Creative Soundblaster card. In sound preferences it shows the card as using the old CAO106 Soundblaster driver but it does not turn the card on!! When I minimize a program or firefox they simply disappear?? I keep firefox icons and others down in the panel but when I minimize anything it is gone!! If I click on the firefox Icon it launches anew! any Idea whats going on??
