I think we need to define what a rolling release actually is. You can have a rolling release without having the most updated packages. The true essence of a rolling release not having a set point release ever so often but maybe having an installer dvd so you dont have to waste bandwidth getting upda...

I had the same problem but luckily there is a fix.
run that and select chrome from the list.

+2 here as well. If your looking to use more then 4gb of ram you can go ahead and install the debian big mem kernel. just do a search in synaptic for big mem

Id throw a curveball in this and say lxde its in the debian repos and is alot more lightweight then xfce or gnome combined but if you have a choice between xfce and gnome id choose xfce since its bit more better coded and can look damn spiffy while not taking many resources away from the system.

Im a long time Linux user and recently discovered Linux Mint Debian. Ive been through many of a distro starting with Red hat 9.
