Libreoffice was not working properly, even after the purge and reinstall. Some functions did not work, such as Find.
I did a complete reinstall from flatpak (I followed this guide: https://www.<blocked blogspam>/how-to-ins ... -bullseye/)
Not it is working.

Re: Mintupgrade: from LMDE 4 to LMDE 5
One more thing. When I tried to update the Virtualbox, the virtualbox package for Debian 11 ( virtualbox-6.1_6.1.34-150636~Debian~bullseye_amd64.deb ) did not work well. I had to download the installer ( VirtualBox-6.1.34-150636-Linux_amd64.run ) from this page: https://download.virtualbox.org/virt...

Mintupgrade (still BETA): from LMDE 4 to LMDE 5
I have just tested the mintupgrade in two machines. I one of them, everything went very well. Following the program, I came from LMDE4 to LMDE5. Nevertheless, today (one day later), I had a problem. Libreoffice was not working. I had to purge the complete libreoffice old install, and install it anew...

Re: [SOLVED] Graphics Tablet Setting Will Not Launch
I had a bit different configuration in /usr/share/libwacom/intuos-s-p3.tablet I opened it with the default editor: sudo xed /usr/share/libwacom/intuos-s-p3.tablet Then i looked for the Styli line, which looked like this: Styli=0x862; then I just changed it to: Styli=0x862;0xffffe; And it worked fine...

Re: LMDE5
I really like LMDE, from the old times of the rolling distribution. I would like it to appear more quickly, as MX LInux, Sparky Linux or Siduction do with the new Debian releases. They all have Debian 11. If Mint would adopt that policy, it would be much better than those distributions, because of C...

Re: Manjaro overtakes Mint in Distrowatch page-hit rankings
After seeing that Manjaro was in the first place in Distro Watch, I have tested it. I installed the XFCE version of Manjaro. And it is really good. Very quick. In some ways, it reminds me of the old times, when LMDE was a "rolling" distribution. I fell in love with Mint thanks to that firs...

Re: MATE 1.18 updates
I understood in this thread (Monsta said it) that the bug (Firefox freezing MATE) is in MATE; and that is has been solved in the git version, but it is still not in our repositories. Ubuntu MATE users also experience it.

Re: MATE 1.18 updates
I have loved LMDE MATE since the old times of the rolling edition. I was patient with all the changes in between. I admire the great work, and the generosity of people working for a GNU project. But I humbly complain. I think there are possible upgrades (like Libreoffice) which we do not automatical...

Re: MATE 1.18 updates
Is there a way to make the fix quickly available in LMDE? For me, it is not easy to cope with the git archives... And the problem is quite important, because it affects a feature (going to the download folder) which I often use. And the consequences are big, because the whole desktop freezes... Now ...

Re: MATE 1.18 updates
Since the update there is a problem with Firefox, when trying to open the download folder. There is a thread here where the problem is described: https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/firefox-freezes-after-trying-to-open-downloads/12630/20 monsta (I guess the same as our Monsta here) says that it is a MAT...

It was linuxmint-art.org
It seems to have been my fault, anyway. Probably I put an avatar from that website, and at certain moment, the site began to ask for a password...

But I changed tha avatar, and the problem is gone...
The strange thing is that I dont remember changing the avatar. In any case, I have changed my password now.
Sorry for the inconveniences and thank you for the help.

[SOLVED] liuxmint-art.org is the forum hacked?
Every time I go to the linux mint forums, I get a request from linuxmintart.org, asking for my username and password. I have never been to linuxmintart.org, and it looks like foul play.
Does anybody know something about this strange behave at the forums?

Re: Problem installing Virtualbox
I would un-check any non essential reposotory and try again.
In synaptic you can also see the state of the different packages, and check which ones are broken. I would re-install them.
