Re: No sound with Mint 15 XFCE version. Mint 15 Cinnamon wor

I wanted to add to this, it seems, I too can use the default sound device but there is no way to change to another sound device IE HDMI or USB headset. I am not sure how to fix this. Does anyone have any answers?

Re: Counter Strike GO Mint 14

So, that did not work.. And I was wrong, it is not detecting onboard graphics it's detecting a completely different ati card. An ATI Radeon 8500 aparently. How the heck can I change this? Anything I can do? I am at my wits end! And I can't think of any other solutions.. I've searched and read lots o...

Re: Counter Strike GO Mint 14

Ok, so I think what is happening is that Wine/CSgo is detecting my onboard graphics instead of my 6850.. now if I disabled it and it is not showing up in lspci would I have to reinstall wine for wine to notice the change or should it do so automatically? Anyone know?

Counter Strike GO Mint 14

Hello! I recently made the switch from Windows 7 to Linux mint 14 which I am loving! Today I installed Steam using Play on linux so I could try to get Counter Strike Go working. I installed CS Go through Steam and it seemed to have gone smooth enough. However when I go to run CSGO it starts up and t...

Re: Slow Navigation

Hey man, I've seen people with ubuntu with the same problem you're having when I was searching for my own wifi issues using google. Unfortunately, I dont remember coming across any way to fix it. If anything, at least you're not the only one with this issue.

Re: hp mini wifi troubles.

First download the latest drivers here : This is what the Hardware Drivers applet is designed to do so you don't have to, but glad you got it to work. While the Hardware Drivers applet is designed to do just that, it did not. it was giving me incompatible drivers that left my connection speed at 1m...

Re: hp mini wifi troubles. [SOLVED]

In the end I got it working with sudo depmod -a after manually loading the driver. Now my wifi starts instantly at boot and is stable at 65mbps which is faster than the 54mbps connection I originally hoped for.

ISSUE SOLVED!

Re: hp mini wifi troubles.

I fixed the issue using: sudo iwconfig eth1 rate 54M. The original command was sudo iwconfig wlan0 rate 54M but mine reads as eth1 for some reason so I just changed the command. It's now reading at 54mbps. Found this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/201225 I am not sure how to m...

Re: hp mini wifi troubles.

Remove ndiswrapper and see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1512693 I think you missunderstood, wifi works with the network manager BUT at 1mbps. That post you linked, the wifi is not working at all. If I follow those steps, nothing changes for me. Thanks anyway though. I think it might be ...
