Re: HOW-TO create the ultimate gaming/graphics machine with

I'm considering doing this, but I'm not sure if my motherboard supports it. I couldn't find anything on the manufacturer's website. I have the gigabyte GA-b75m-D3V. I also have an i3-2100 and a Radeon HD 6870. Do you think I should give this a go? Also, I enabled VT-D in my bios.

Matching gtk theme with minty?

I just installed Linux Mint 13 and I chose the "minty" theme and it looks really nice. I was wondering if there is a matching gtk theme? I wanted a sort of clear theme just like how the panel looks in minty. Does anyone know the name of one?

Re: Down arrow key stopped working

Or it might be the key is gone. Not saying it is. But if you've booted into windows. Then anything you've done in linux shouldn't/wouldn't matter with the other OS partition. Who know's maybe the key is defective. Guess I should find out what lemonade is before posting this though ... hmmm. I think...

Down arrow key stopped working

My down arrow key randomly stopped working. I did spill a *very* small amount of lemonade, but I don't think that's what it was. It might be though (all other keys are fine). I've tried booting into windows and it doesn't work either, so it might be the lemonade. Is it possible to fix this? If not, ...

Re: Kworld dvd maker - em28xxx driver

I have no idea about the device itself, but do you have the build-essential package installed? It is required. Otherwise it would help if you could post the specific build errors. Regarding making text as a link HERE is a link to the original post in this thread. It is HERE without the quote marks ...

Kworld dvd maker - em28xxx driver

I'm trying to get my kworld dvd maker to capture video from my TV, but it isn't working. Here is the picture of this model: http://piclion.com/images/o381022b.jpg I've tried compiling the driver from this page: http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Em28xx_devices , but it isn't working (make install...

Re: Reinstall?

It sounds like you are wanting to have two basically equal sized partitions, one for Windows and one for Mint. The easiest way is to boot into windows, go to Disk Management, and delete all the linux partitions. Then, extend the Windows partition (just to wipe the other stuff out and start clean). ...

Reinstall?

How can I reinstall/restore back to a fresh out of the box linux mint install? I've screwd up my drivers (v4l or something) and want to reinstall linux mint. Is there a way other than to format the linux mint partition? and if I do: http://piclion.com/images/screenbgb.png Would I delete sd8, sd5, an...

Re: Vista won't boot after Linux Mint install

Ehh I tried recovery disk start up repair before, but it didn't work. For some weird reason, it did. Thanks anyway though. I'm loving linux mint. Soooo much faster than vista and win7.

Vista won't boot after Linux Mint install

My dad's vista computer was so laggy that it was unusable. He reformatted it, but it was still laggy. So I installed Linux Mint on it. I put in the live CD, and installed it. It partitioned (the option I picked was install alongside with other operating system). Everything seemed fine. It rebooted, ...
