Re: You tube stopped working on Mint 9 laptop

googleing "Right clicking on the video shows, "Movie not loaded..."" yealds http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=798870ae7e79f8a3&hl=en which says using https instead of http (at the beginning of the url) fixes it to automate that (and get a MUCH more secu...

Re: LMDE SpinX3 Wishlist

Today I read http://www.zdnet.co.uk/blogs/jamies-mostly-linux-stuff-10006480/linux-mint-debian-perils-of-rolling-distributions-10024034/ and wondered that LMDE and the Debian base could have: 1 a release cycle that mirrors the release cycle of upstream Desktop Environment, 2 isos updated every 2 mo...

Re: LMDE netinstall

I don't think it's worth the hassle of offering and supporting yet another re-spin of LMDE how much energy does it take to maintain a netinstall disk? i can't imagine as much as a traditional one as it seems most of the work in releasing a traditional disk is patching which becomes less urgent i do...

LMDE netinstall

I'm proposing netinstall for the LMDE editions of mint (LMDE fluxbox xfce KDE) because lmde is rolling there are (i assume) more updates for it so it would save more bandwidth then a net-Ubu-Mint (a rolling distro should have a "rolling disk" and a milestone distro should have a "mile...

Re: LMDE SpinX3 Wishlist

a netinstall option would be nice it wouldn't need to be more confusing then a normal installation as it could avoid all user choice and simply download/install all defalt packages see my idea http://community.linuxmint.com/idea/view/1359 also you should consider switching to CUT http://cut.debian.n...
