I've been using Linux Mint KDE 18.1 for several months without issue, suddenly one day for no obvious reason my PS2 keyboard (connected via USB adaptor) is no longer recognised, consequently my PC hangs on boot up as it cant see a keyboard connected. The keyboards Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock...

Re: How to enable cURL?

Finally fixed this with the aid of this post: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=239187&p=1342479&h ... l#p1342479
I entered this command:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install php7.0-mysql php7.0-curl php7.0-json
I guess the relevant part was

Code: Select all

php7.0-curl
.

Re: How to enable cURL?

Just one more thing, if cURL is correctly installed shouldn't I see it in php.info? PHP doesnt seem to recognise the cURL installation so maybe the problem is in PHP config?

[SOLVED] How to enable cURL?

I have successfully installed cURL on my Linux Mint KDE 18.1 PC, however php.ini doesn't report it enabled and my CMS system is complaining that cURL needs to be installed. Anyone know who I persuade php7 that cURL has been installed?

Re: How to create a new menu category in linux Mint KDE

OK many thanks, it's not a big enough problem to be spending much time on.
Interestingly when I followed the advise given here and did this manually it worked fine, just had problems in getting the icon to stick.
