Thanks for the idea. I searched for 3.0.0 and found all the 3 kernel stuff. I Marked them all for reinstall. Applied the changes. Let the installs finish and then rebooted. Same result......... Kernel 2. is still working like a champ though :) My next thought was to remove 3.0 all together. Basicall...

So, I found 3.2.1 in the synaptic Package Manager.
