Re: Microphone Volume Too Low on Bluetooth Headset
I think this issue is the same. Way down low the user pali gets involved. That user has pretty much re-written Bluetooth for Linux, but is having trouble getting things merged. Maybe soon things will improve. I hope he's able to get things incorporated into the system. It doesn't sound very promisi...

Re: Microphone Volume Too Low on Bluetooth Headset
Another option is to see if this has any effect: pacmd set-source-volume bluez_source.38_F3_2E_69_13_E7.headset_head_unit 153% The volume apparently has to be a hexadecimal number. It didn't like the volume given as a percent. I played around with it, though, but numbers greater than 0x10000, altho...

Re: Microphone Volume Too Low on Bluetooth Headset
Okay, now let's see the output of amixer please. I'm suspecting this wont work, but if the Capture volume is less than 100%, maybe that's causing this issue. brian@Penny:~$ amixer Simple mixer control 'Master',0 Capabilities: pvolume pvolume-joined pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Lim...

Microphone Volume Too Low on Bluetooth Headset
I am running Mint 19.3 Cinnamon. I have successfully worked out my issues getting my Bluetooth headset (Skullcandy Ink'd) detected and paired, and they sound great! My problem is when I use them as a headset, the microphone volume is way too low. Even when I max out the volume in pavucontrol, the mi...

Re: Bluetooth not working Linux Mint 19.3 MATE
I had a similar issue in that my Bluetooth adapter could find and connect to my phone for file transfers, but would not find my Bluetooth headset or speaker. After digging around the internet for a bit, I tried uninstalling the Blueberry Bluetooth manager and installing Blueman. That worked for me f...

Re: Mint Mate and Windows 10 Freeze Seemingly Randomly
If the random freezes happen in both operating systems, that to me points to a hardware issue. Is your computer overheating? Check that all your fans are working properly and heat sinks aren't caked in dust.

Re: Lithium Battery dead
Did you say this is a new battery? It's entirely possible it needs to go through a few charge/discharge cycles to calibrate the battery to the laptop. It's also possible that, instead of powering the laptop completely off, you may have just put it to sleep, which will still draw power from the batte...

Play/Pause button on Bluetooth headset doesn't work
If I posted this in the wrong place, please move. I was recently able to get my Bluetooth headset to work on my ancient HP laptop running Mint 19.3 (something about a pulseaudio module and having to sacrifice a virgin chicken). Everything seems to work reasonably well (except the headset mic doesn't...

Re: Record Vinyl
Has anyone tried USB recording? I have an Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB turntable that has a USB output. Is there any software I need beyond Audacity that will capture the USB output on Mint 19.1? Will it even work?

Re: Record Vinyl
I do not have a "line in" on my laptop I did Turntable -> phono-preamp (in regular stereo amp/preamp) -> stereo's line out -> mic in. I suppose that's the problem. mic in instead of line in. That is exactly the problem. A mic-in jack is expecting a low-level signal, not a line-level signa...

Re: Transferring Files to Android Device via MTP
i mean on your phone settings the way it connects to pc. some have charge only and install driver and camera (PTP) and media device(MTP) it's a shame not even android can stick to one protocol. I have my phone set to use MTP by default, though I have to give it permission each time. Other choices i...

Re: All sound has a slight delay - Mint 10
I don't know about the OP, but I do notice a delay with sound in Flash applications. For example, clicking a button in a Flash-based Facebook app produces the corresponding sound about a half-second after the button was clicked. I notice this in Firefox, Chrome, and Chromium, and this is a longstand...

Re: MS Office 2010
Not quite sure if this is what you are looking for, but I had come across some bash scripts that allow me to add MS Word, Excel, etc. to a filetype's "Open With" list. I had encountered the "file not found" errors myself with Mint 11, so I modified the original scripts to work pr...

Re: Linux Mint 11 "Katya" RC released!
Does anyone know how to get Mint 11 to boot from USB? I get this when using usb-creator.exe which comes within the ISO: [Error 5] Access denied u"F:\\ldlinux.sys" The Mint 10 option in Universal USB Installer 1.8.4.6 does not work: Syslinux 3.86 is too old for Mint 11. The Ubuntu 11.04 op...
