Thanks, Jamie. I have spent several days trying to find a solution and it is as simple as a carriage return!

Re: What is glitchpeg.desktop?
I'm not sure what is going on. Do you think glitchpeg is installed? See if any sign of glitchpeg is in /etc/xdg/autostart/. If so, post the contents of that file. No sign in /etc/xdg/autostart/. Glitchpeg is installed as a component of xscreensaver-data-extra , presumably by default in Mint. What I...

Re: Does Zoom work & safe to use on Mint 20.1
This was my experience: Installation of zoom on laptop resulted in other packages being added. Problem from ibus resulting in keyboard changed to US English. Option to add UK English and move to top but this did not change keyboard. I used Mint settings to change back to UK English keyboard. Also ic...

Re: What is glitchpeg.desktop?
So, I have discovered that glitchpeg is a package within xscreensaver-data-extra. The question is why is it referenced in terminal printout when installing an unrelated package using dpkg? Is this normal or is it caused specifically by the package being installed?

[SOLVED] What is glitchpeg.desktop?
In /usr/share/applications/screensavers/ there is a file glitchpeg.desktop. What is its function? I ask because when installing an application (notecase pro) using dpkg a message appears stating that it is not possible to parse glitchpeg.desktop.
However,the installation proceeds without error.

I have seen this behaviour occasionally , but it is not only in Firefox. Yesterday it happened using Xviewer. It happened in LM 20 and LM 20.1.

Re: Remove Mozilla Products
I assume we are referring to a recent post by a prominent individual at Mozilla making what is presumably a personal political view about social media which she might wish to be a collective Mozilla view. I find it hard to see this affecting the nature of software (Firefox or Thunderbird) which is a...

Re: Double volume icons in Mate 20.1?
This was an issue in LM 20 Mate. Occasionally there are 2 volume icons and I have also seen 2 network icons. This does not affect performance and the surplus icons disappear on next boot. I decided to live with it.

[SOLVED] XFBurn issue with LM 20.1 Mate
After a fresh install on one computer and an upgrade on another there is an issue with XFburn.
When attempting to do a burn XFBurn reports "Burn mode is not currently implemented."
