Re: ThinkPad R61i: No Headphone/Sound; Internal Speakers OK

As a follow-up to this thread I hopped over to MEPIS 11. After LMDX broke (should have consulted threads over in the LMDE forum first) I moved over to LM 10 KDE. Of course, everything worked just fine again with the occasional annoyances thanks to the Kubuntu upstream. However, with LM KDE also movi...

Re: Google Chrome/Chromium crashes on startup

Slapped Mint 10 KDE on my ThinkPad today and ran into the same problems with Chrome and Chromium. It drove me nuts for hours until I found this thread. Removing gecko-mediaplayer indeed does the trick.

ThinkPad R61i: No Headphone/Sound; Internal Speakers OK.

Greetings, I recently moved from LM 11 to LMDX and initially thought that I had done something to break the sound to my headphones/speakers as nothing would come out of them. However, the internal speakers were working just fine. From the LMDX live CD, sound worked as expected. I reinstalled LMDX an...

Yet Another Ubuntu Refugee.

Greetings... I just switched to LM after using Ubuntu since Breezy Badger. Unfortunately for me, Unity has been nothing short of an epic fail. After playing around with the LM 10 GNOME and KDE editions, I waited for the LM 11 release to finally take the plunge. Everything works on my ThinkPad except...
