Re: Going back to 19.3 because of LM 20 kernel eth driver issues

Even with 5.4.0-42-generic kernel version, everything's OK.
Which means LM20 has wrong driver for Realtek eth card.

Re: LM 20 network confusion

I restored back LM19.3 from Timeshift snapshot before KM20 install and everything is back to normal, even when I upgraded kernel to the 5.4.0-42-generic version, the same as in LM20.
Which makes me think it is a LM20 issue after all, and it's driver for Realtek eth card.

Going back to 19.3 because of LM 20 kernel eth driver issues

Hello! After upgrade I noticed eth LAN card stops working after 20 minutes, I googled a bit and it seems a R8169 driver and 5.4... kernel conflict. If I perform timeshift restore to the point before ugrade to LM20 will older kernel be restored too? Network: Device-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Ex...

Don't do multiple NAT.
Yes, you're right, before this problem tenda used to work in Access point mode. I've put it in router mode just to be certain there are no IP conflicts. Now that I know that it's driver/kernel issue I'll go back to AP mode. Thanks.

Re: LM 20 network confusion

One more remark... When I plug my wifi usb dongle into Linux PC then I can access internet, so I guess maybe it's not DNS related. Possible kernel issues (5.4.0-40) in LM20 with eth interface (Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411) and driver (driver: r8169)? The output of inxi -Fxz is dk@dk-A320MH:~$ inxi -Fxz...

You're brilliant!!!

That worked.
:-)

Thanks!
If you have password protected chares like I do on my DNS-313, then the command is:

Code: Select all

sudo mount -t cifs -o user=myuser,sec=ntlm,uid=1000,vers=1.0 //mynas/Volume_1-1/MUSIC /home/myuser/mydns
and you'll get password prompt...
