I installed the 2.6.35 kernel and have seen some difference. Fan not running constantly,CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor no longer going to the highest setting whenever it wants and seeing an increase of battery life. Grub menu not showing on start up,HELP!!!

I have searched the forum and did not find an answer. I've installed an earlier kernel hoping that this would help with my battery problem but when I restart I do not see the grub menu. How would I get grub to show up when I start up? Thank you for any help. :)

The netbook had no stickers on it except the MS license. As for the top/bottom bar I have most of my info stuff on the top bar like time,main menu and stuff like that. Some windows not fitting

Hello all,I'm in need of a bit of help. On my netbook,some of the windows do not fit the screen size like compizconfig and some others. Any way to force them to stick to 1024x600 or do I just live with it?
