Re: Nemo's Open as root function doesn't work on Wayland

Hi, @smurphos: thanks for your nemo custom actions files. Your xed_admin action file will help me to edit some files (for example : configuration text files) with admin privileges under Wayland. This solve one of my two problems. But what I would like is to open a system directory (for exampl...

Re: Nemo's Open as root function doesn't work on Wayland

I guess that Nemo's Open as root function is a script. So, it can be modified to make it work with wayland. Where is that function/script ?

Thanks.

Re: Bug in Cinnamon with the accelerometer ?

Hi smurphos, Please report the output of inxi -Fxxz so we know what version of Cinnamon you are running, what kernel and what hardware. I don't have any experience running Cinnamon on a rotatable device, but at least that gives a starting point. Linux Mint version: Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon version :...

Re: How to disable/don't show the cinnamon panel ?

Hi,

I made searches on the net and I saw that it is possible to hide the dock of Ubuntu permanently. See option 3 here: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2018/08/h ... -dock.html

Is it possible to do the same thing but with the Cinnamon panel ?

Thanks.

Re: Ukuu the best solution to upgrade to the last kernel ?

Hi MrGrimm, Hi guys, well, Mint update manager gave me the 4.18.0-13 kernel and I installed it. With this kernel, my hardware works like a charm despite I must find a solution to make the bluetooth work as well as the accelerometer. So I don't have to install the 4.19.x or 4.20.x kernel for now. :wi...

Re: test-orientation command doesn't exist on Linux Mint 19.

HI Hoser Rob, it seems that test-orientation utility is not included by default in the Ubuntu package of iio-sensor-proxy. So I have to take the sources code from Hadess github website and I have to compile it. I hope that I will don't need to install the iio-sensor-proxy version from Hadess github ...
