After years of installing mint and ubuntu before that I've never had trouble installing the o/s until mint 20
kept running into a grub installation error. Finally installed it but ended up with a weird drive partition.
Can I delete one of the ext4 or just leave as is
Thanxs

Re: Compile a script file
Hmm you lost me. I tried executing the a.sh file and nothing.
The file I.m trying to open is called fxTrade_installer.sh
Is the a.sh supposed to be inside the fxTrade_installer.sh?
Thanxs

USB Drive
Got an old IBM T41 that has a dead hardrive. Just wondered whether it would find the correct
wireless drivers if I ran it from a USB stick.

Re: Linux mint 13 32 and 64 Bit Cinnamon Grub Corruption
Had the same problem on a laptop...My desktop has been fine which suggest
it maybe hardware specfic...The only thing I did different with the desktop was install
nightly builds with cinnamon and updated the kernal.

Cinnamon-nightly repo updates... well... nightly! Those packages are built every night from cinnamon's "master" git branch: https://github.com/linuxmint/Cinnamon[/quote] Shadowfax - For the PPA that "esteban1uy" refers to, see the following post: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewt...

Re: [Solved] System freezing - Mint 13 Cinnamon
Same here running cinnamon 1.4-UP3 for 3 days no freezing so far.
This is probably a stupid question but how often are these builds get updated
and are they automatically entered into the repos...or are they downloaded
from another source?

In case anyone's interested I found this to be the best guide for installing Eclipse
You have to make minor changes to the terminal inputs because the package
descriptions have changed....

Eclipse Android Dev
Trying to setup eclipse with a sdk and adt plugin. Most of the sites I've visited are outdated and the links are no longer valid. Just wondered whether someone could direct me to a simple set of instructions to install the software with the mind to develop android apps. Unless of course there's bett...

Epson 835 Printer Drivers
Installed the avasy's epson driver and everything works fine except can't choose 'best' or 'ultra' print under
the generic interface. Installed 'gutenprint' for gimp and the same thing. It'll only let me print normal
resolutions....not higher.

Re: Epson Printers, All In Ones, etc...check here!!!
Just got a Epson Artisan 835 and downloaded the avasy's driver and it works fine, although the quality could use improving. Is there any software out there that could give me more control over the printer? The generic linux interface is pretty bland and for some reason doesn't have the 'ultra photo'...

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" RC released!
Been running 12 as a dual boot making changes as suggest by this forum. Despite my initial outrage at gnome3 I think I can get used to this thing. Just wish we could get the top bar on the bottom and keep all the notifications. I'm probably a mint lifer now as long as nothing to radical appears in f...

I agree with the previous poster 'meh' You've taken a good thing and ruined it.
Whats up with the upper bar...taking up real estate and bringing back the whole reason

Is there a way to get all dependency's installed. Every-time I unpackage a tarball it seems I'm missing
something and can't always find it in the package manager.
Also can I run Ubuntu terminal commands in mint ...
