Re: LMDE UP 6 regression: /etc/fstab cifs no longer works!

In my system mount cifs (smbfs) resources at boot with fstab doesn't work for a quite long time. Same commands could be done manually when system finally boot without any question.
So there is a definite problem with fstab, yes.

Re: Will LMDE ISO Ever Be Updated?

Hope they fix that epic bug with no English locale on first start... because now LMDE is totally unusable for fresh users, 'cause they just can't log in :D

Re: Renderenig bug after UP6

I seems that its a Nemo bug, not Cinnamon.
Noticed the same "shadow" after archive extraction ("Extract here"). When I start Nautilus and do similar actions there was no "shadow" after.

Renderenig bug after UP6

Previously I used Debian testing (made it myself from one of the first editions of LMDE). But finally its broke up and I decided to test LMDE... So there is a fresh-installed LMDE amd64, Cinnamon 1.6.7+lmde In LibreOffice when I send anything to print, printing dialog don't disappear after job done,...

Re: UP5 Login screen "random" appearence

+1 But it starts to happen long before UP5. I don't even have UP5 or any Mint modules, just Debian testing with Cinnamon. And GDM "modern" logon happens far more often than cinnamon )) Doesn't bother me in any way but looks strange. LMDE amd64, Cinnamon UPDATE: looks like it because of mut...

Re: [SOLVED] building Cinnamon (sid)

I always use only default theme.
But the problem is in there: I try two other themes -- text appears. When I change it to defaul again -- no text everywhere.
Odd.
Is there any way to fix it?

Re: LMDE BREAKAGES - tracking TESTING - updated 15 May

In short: evolution update to 3.4.3. tries to remove cinnamon (I use half-unoffical 1.4-UP2 with libcogl5 dependeicy fix). As I know UP3 is almost same as UP2.
So there is need for "cinnamon1.4-UP4" or whatever.

Re: LMDE BREAKAGES - tracking TESTING - updated 15 May

iLobster, you need to be a tiny bitty littly :D more verbose about it (repos you are using, apt policy of the packages, full output of the dist-upgrade command- you know that kind of things  ) otherwise our crystal balls won't work  Well, crystal balls may rest for now, 'cause I just a...

Anybody know why? What exactly do they not like?

I can't upgrade fontconfig from 2.8.0.2-1ubuntu3 to 2.9 (on testing) Solve libfontconfig1 trouble only by downloading this packet and two more manually. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=199&t=100493&p=580842#p580842 I can't upgrade fontconfig from 2.8.0.2-1ubuntu3 to 2.9 (on test...

Re: Firefox and Thunderbird 12

There is something strange with this damn packet. It has been breaking my mind for two weeks at least. According to debian site libfontconfig1 2.9.0 IS in testing AND sid. But there is only 2.8.0-3 in synaptic (LMDE + testing). Solve this situation by direct downloading libfontconfig1 and its depend...

So as I can understand from all of you last few pages it's normal that I can't update gnome 3.4 and qt4 packages, right? ))
And what will be the light in the tunnel end? New cinnamon version?

And what about fontconfig1 ?

Upgraded to 1.4-lmde1, no problems so far. Only a very long start noticed: computer starts from power-on to logon-screen same time that from logon-screen to desktop.
