Re: Epson WF-2530 cannot print anymore after upgrading to Mint 19

The printer driver for the Epson WF-2530 is the same as the one I am using for my Artisan 725 and it works fine in Mint 19 (fresh install). I noticed today that the current driver for both our models is epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.31-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb and I wonder if Epson have fixed the upgrade ...

Re: Epson work es 400 scanner

Which scanner drivers and where did you get these? The Epson Download Centre does not list any Linux drivers for the ES-400 and the S.A.N.E. site has no listing for this model. Correction: The Epson Download Centre now lists a driver for the ES-400 "imagescan-bundle-ubuntu-18.04-1.3.38.x64.tar.gz" T...

Re: Cannot make Image Scan work in Linuxmint 19

The components included in the iscan-bundle can be installed individually. Right click on the downloaded tar.gz bundle and select "Extract here" which will create a file called "iscan-bundle-1.0.4.x64.deb". Open this file to see 3 files: core, data, plugins. Open the data file first and double click...

Re: Jump list

From System Settings, Applets, install Recent Documents to your panel. If it is not listed, click on the Download button to refresh your listing.
Still in System Settings, Preferences, Privacy, switch the "Remember recently accessed files" to ON.

But I am having a hard time with the drivers.
Why? The drivers are built into the kernel. There is nothing to install.

I use a Wacom Bamboo. Buttons and pen are adjusted in System Settings, Hardware, Graphics Tablets.

Re: Epson 810 won't print after Mint 19 Upgrade

I do not have any Epson drivers listed in the Driver Manager. My drivers come directly from the Epson Download Centre: http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/?OSC=LX Since the drivers needed for the Artisan 810 and Artisan 725 are the same, I will list them here: Printer Driver: epson-in...

Re: Epson 810 won't print after Mint 19 Upgrade

I have an Epson Artisan 725 and have 2 entries in Printers, one for Wi-Fi connection and one for USB connection. Depending on which connection is chosen, either works as expected. The connection as "dnnsd://EPSON0041FE ... etc." looks OK. Is the printer shown as "shared" in Properties? Did you upgra...

Re: Cannot make Image Scan work in Linuxmint 19

Epson's Image Scan for Linux works only if you install the "image-scan" bundle from the Epson Download Centre: http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/?OSC=LX As you are using a USB connection, no further adjustments are necessary since USB recognition is automatic. The recommendation men...

Since you posted your question in the Main Edition Support, I assume that you are using Cinnamon. Pressing the left Win key shows the Main Menu. Holding down Shift+Ctrl and typing u00a9 produces © when Shift+Ctrl are released. Pressing the specified Compose key followed by O and c produces ©. Consid...

Re: Icon not visible in system tray

In "edit" mode the icon will show because you have installed it.
In "normal" mode the icon will not show or show nothing possibly because "Remember recently accessed files" is disabled in the Privacy setting in System Settings.

Re: Good backup software?

You already have the best backup system: the command line utility called rsync. If you prefer a graphical user interface then use Grsync (look in Software Manager) which will provide you with visual configuration options to specify what to back up and what to exclude. It has a setting to delete from...

Currently using the Linux Mint sanctioned Thunderbird 52.9.1. with Lightning 5.4. Following a download and extract of Thunderbird 60, I found that my existing Lightning was now attached to Thunderbird 60 but declared as incompatible with 52.9.1. My opinion of Thunderbird 60 is that with its squared ...
