Yeah Write! Word Processor on Linux Mint and Wine

You can find a word processor at yeahwrite.com that is very different and organized. You can run it on linux mint with wine. It works just fine! No problems and is so logical to keep files, as you would with file folders in a file cabinet. Take a look. My problem is that although the program works f...

how to change physical location within automatically selecte

When I install linuxmint it automatically makes me choose between large cities in a time zone. How can I change it to reflect my correct zipcode? When I visit Walmart, etc., it automatically fixes my store as the large city that linux mint installed. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

suspend and resume on Dell mini

I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 that I installed LinuxMint 17 on. When I shut the lid it seems to suspend, but when I open it the light flashes like it will resume but then goes out and stays out and I have to do a shut down. I am hoping that you guys and gals have an answer that Windows did not. I...

Re: I hate Apple (&) Macs! A one time rant.

Okay! I have been trying to get my macbook 2008 with os 10.7.5 to dual boot with Linux mint 17, but with not much luck. I am new to mac and got a good deal on ebay, but I like Linux better, but mac's program have more variety. Wine does provide some windows programs access to Linux. Windows I don't ...

SOLVED! locating suspend file in filesystem Dell 1012

Linux Mint 17 XFCE and Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 :P I have had a probem with my dell mini and the suspend/hibernate command. On all distros there is a problem suspending/hibernating. SOLVED:Re: HP Deskjet 2512 and hplip-3.14.6.run and LM17

I am not sure what did it, but it works now.

I unplugged the wire from the usb router and plugged it directly into the laptop.

I also ran hp-doctor as suggested in another post.

It found my scanner on my HP Deskjet 2512 all-in-one and works now.

Thanks to all of you.

I love this place. Mary

linuxmint 17 foundation

Is it my imagination or did I read somewhere that the foundation of LM 17 would be different? Something about gnome??? My question is will my LM 16 be automatically updated to 17, or do I need to format and install LM 17? Forgive my ignorance, I should know more about this. Thanks, Mary

Will mint xcfe appear and work the same in v.17?

I am using the latest current update of xfce and loving it. I read about a change that is coming to 17. As I understand it, the base will be changed from ubuntu to debian. Maybe that statement is incorrect. What I want to know is the will the new mint 17 xfce work the same as it does now? Thanks so ...
