Re: Changing Themes

Okay, so how do I go about applying these themes from Gnome Look? Whenever I try with "appearance" then there is no theme packages. Unless I make them into tar.gz archives. But then they don't work properly.

Re: Changing Themes

Oh, and it also says this when I open Appearance Unable to start the settings manager 'gnome-settings-daemon'. Without the GNOME settings manager running, some preferences may not take effect. This could indicate a problem with Bonobo, or a non-GNOME (e.g. KDE) settings manager may already be active...

For instance I goto deviantart, then to the GTK+ catagory, download a theme, make it into a tar.gz (or somthing like that) then try to install it and it doesn't look right. I don't have GTK+, and I d...

What would you suggest that is easier? I don't know how to build or anything like that, and I don't know where to find help for building and such. Apart from here :)

Re: Best Anti-Virus and Firewall for Daryna?

I stayed with Windows, only because I thought Linux would be too complex, I'm only 15. I only got Linux a couple of days ago, I love it so far, just want to learn how to do stuff, what I need, and don't need. Thanks guys :)

"Compiling"

Hey I was wondering how to install something, or "compile". It always tells me to open some configure script or something, so is there any information about this kind of stuff anywhere? I am using Daryna and it is going very well so far! Although there has been some problems with Resolutio...

Getting rid of windows

I am currently downloading Linux Mint 4.0 Daryna. I was wondering when you install it, does it get rid of Windows and all it's data? it doesn't matter if it does, I have a reboot CD. I was just wondering, thanks. :)
