Re: Running Live DVD

Is this the only way of changing the BIOS and booting from DVD? PS2 keyboards are very rare these days.

Running Live DVD

I've been trying to get my TP-LINK TL-WN851ND wifi card to work but my computer doesn't appear to be seeing it. I'm currently running Mint 7 and wondered whether I might be using wrong kernal (2.6.2-11) so I decided to try and upgrade to the latest version. I downloaded the software onto a DVD but w...

Re: My Linux Mint 13 - Multi-Boot DVD

I'm a complete novice but am trying to book Linux 13 from a DVD that I cut earlier which contains the iso file but my PC just reboots back into Mint 7 - any suggestions?

Re: TP-LINK drivers

I think I've now managed to install the driver -

[ 2.114700] device-mapper: multipath: version 1.0.5 loaded
[ 2.114704] device-mapper: multipath round-robin: version 1.0.0 loaded
[ 471.538779] ath9k: 0.1

but how do I get the wifi to work?!

TP-LINK drivers

I've just bought a TP-LINK WN-851 PCI wifi card and, from reviews, expected it to be plug and play but sadly not.

Would someone perhaps be able to explain to me (an idiots guide) exactly how to install the drivers?

Re: No wireless or ethernet? Have a smartphone?

I tried this using my HTC Desire HD but rather than selecting wifi I enabled tethering from the task bar menu when connecting via USB. My Linux Mint PC appeared to see the connection but it was teehee out not letting me connect to it.

Any ideas?
