Re: Cinnamon Themes
So I updated my Clove-Black theme for Cinnamon 2.0. It's at http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/themes/view/30 . Can anyone provide any feedback or constructive criticism? Have I missed anything? Is it worth it to update the ppa or just let the Themes update settings update the theme? I also notice...

Re: Cinnamon PPA with Extensions(updated Feb 04)
I have my issues fixed! are you working on themes to import them as well merlwiz? that would make themes easier to install I've put some thought into a theme repository, and I've taught myself how to load my own themes into a repository. There may be an easy way to do it, but I think it would be a ...

Re: Cinnamon Themes
Orta Cinnamon Light 0.6.1 is available at Cinnamon Spices . You can also download from my repository ppa:mordant23/themes . Edit: The repo build should be available in about an hour for oneiric. It's already uploaded. I'll upload the precise version soon. Edit2: I'm stumped on how to upload the prec...

Re: Cinnamon Themes
[quote="roger64" @mordant23 The light Orta theme for Cinnamon is in working order. I will have to complete it, I think, with the Gnome3 theme to get the full experience. I will wait for that to get the dark theme. :D http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/thumb/1328611664.png Thank you very muc...

Re: Cinnamon PPA with Extensions(updated Feb 04)
I installed everything now how do I get to apply these extensions? Go to Menu > Preferences > Cinnamon Settings Choose Extensions. Then check which extensions you want to apply. Re: [SOLVED] Printing to PDF produces blank PDFs
I followed the previous instructions for the web interface but I had to make one modification. Instead of choosing Generic CUPS-PDF driver, I had to choose Generic Postscript driver. There were two choices but it's not listed in the driver's name. One is gray scale and the other is color. On my syst...

Re: Cinnamon PPA with Extensions(updated Feb 04)
Glad to see the new cinnamon-settings patch. I had some trouble upgrading to it from cinnamon that was stored in the lisa repository. Synaptic wanted me to remove everything I kept getting messages about broken dependencies when I tried to force the version to the upgrade on the ubuntu repository. I...

Customize menu icon through css [SOLVED]
Is there a way to modify cinnamon.css to use a menu icon picture "menu.png" in the theme's folder? I've googled and searched through the code but my Javascript Fu is not strong enough. I gather that the important bit is in /usr/share/cinnamon/ui/menu.js : ApplicationsButton.prototype = { _...

Re: Cinnamon Themes
I am stunned that there isn't a red theme made yet. There was a gtk2 theme that was black and the open window list in the panel would be highlighted red but I cannot think of the name of it. That was nice for differentiating windows opened with root. I've missed it too. I haven't found a way to giv...

Re: Cinnamon Themes
@mordant23 Thank you for your initiative. I'll be so keen to try it any time. Feel free to download the zip file from github . The theme is usable with almost everything translated from the gnome shell port. Now comes the hard part of deciding how to translate the panel background, window...

Re: Cinnamon Themes
I have a wish... :D The very successful Orta theme has just been released for Gnome Shell (and Unity). It had been a full year my favorite with Gnome2 and, of course, I'd wish to see it landing in Cinnamon. http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/02/orta-theme-ported-to-gtk-3-heres-how-to-install-it/ http:...

Re: Cinnamon Themes
I just uploaded my very first theme and the first time I've posted something for general use of the public. I'm curious for any feedback that would help me improve. Did I make any major goofs? Did I miss something that may work on my system but doesn't work on someone else's? Did I get the copyright...

Re: HOWTO: Cinnamon compile and run guide
I found I could replace sudo ./autogen.sh sudo make with ./autogen.sh make after I changed the permissions on some of the folders. I forget which ones I had to change, but the error messages will tell you exactly which folders were denied access due to permissions. Since I've had no need to use sudo...

Re: Moving icons in task bar - will it be possible?
Sorry for not being clear. There is not way to unlock and move elements of the panel. According to Clem, that ability will come sometime in the future.
