Grub Blocking out Pear OS and Ubuntu-GSR
Hey, I recently installed Ubuntu-GSR hoping for fine GRUB with Pear and Mint. Ubuntu-GSR only displays Mint in GRUB. I used the Rescatux LiveCD to give GRUB ownership to Pear, But that only displays Mint. Giving GRUB ownership to Mint only shows Ubutntu-GSR. Here's my partition layout: /dev/sda: [/d...

Well, it helped a little but after 1 minute the computer freezes, X stops (not crashes) and produces a message like:
It works fine on my laptop, though
Code: Select all
gpu lockup, switching to *something I forgot*

X server crash unusually
Hello, I've been recently playing supertux 2 and it works just fine- but if i maximize it (or any window with extremely good graphics) the X server crahes. There's a quick error screen but it's too fast to read before the screen goes white and Linux Mint restarts. I need to know what's going...

Old GNOME splash screen back? [DORMANT]

Back then GNOME had that nice bootsplash utility that would show what was loading and when it was loading. I've attached some pictures of this from random linux distros. I just hope it's p...

Linux Mint E17?
Enlightenment 17 has always been a stable desktop for me.
Is it possible to put enlightenment (or any other desktop) on linux mint
and still having that "green" look without having to configure too much?
