Re: Battery percentage indicator

I am not sure about the 99%. I did come across it once (even with the default applet) when I didn't restart cinnamon after changing applets. It does work fine now though. http://img6.imagebanana.com/img/hsu78a83/Selection_001.png I think the 'never show label' option is easily implantable. This is a...

Re: Battery percentage indicator

Hello, Sorry for 'necroing' this thread but since it's one of the top results when googleing 'cinnamon power icon hide', I thought it would be relevant. Anyways, I took bimsebasse's code (with his permission and updated it a bit). 1. If the battery is being used, the text will show up indicating how...

Re: Microphone Issues

Is there anyway to disable or stop the Auto-Correct feature of the microphone input in Linux Mint 13? I think you need to look under skype's settings. In my laptop, even if I amplify the input level to 120% and scream, the level of amplification will not change. Now, I don't have skype installed so...

Re: Where do I find which version I have?

Ctrl+Alt+F8 should work.

Try it again and if it still doesn't, restart your computer.

Next time make sure to press Ctrl + Alt + T. This way you can easy access a terminal and at the same time have a graphical display.

Re: how to make conky run @ startup under both Cinnamon and

May I ask what's the content of your conky-startup.sh ? To be honest, I don't think you even need it. This is the content of my conky.desktop shortcut and it works fine under cinnamon. :S [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Exec=conky Hidden=false NoDisplay=false X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true Name[en_...

Re: Cinnamon weather applet

It's very easy to install though, just double click the install.sh bimsebasse, I - like others - have download the .zip, but still can not figure out how to install Weather. The readme file is empty. TIA in advance for your response. Have you tried opening README.md with gedit? This is the output I...

Re: how to make conky run @ startup under both Cinnamon and

I can confirm that conky runs fine under Cinnamon just by adding it on the Startup Applications program. Although I did have a small problem because in my conky script I used sudo hddtemp so the script would always fail on start-up (because it would ask for password) then I added hddtemp to the sudo...

Re: Howto Disable Hibernate when I close my Laptop Lid?

Could you test this: Hit Alt + F2 and type in dconf-editor . When that's open, in the left on the tree list do this: Expand: Org Expand: Gnome Expand: settings-daemon Expand: Plugins Click: Power Change: lid-close-ac-action: nothing (or your choice) lid-close-battery-action: nothing (or your choice)...

Re: Can't Edit Cinnamon Menu

It's the only way without downloading additional packages. Like you mentioned on your post gnome-panel is required for gnome-desktop-item-edit . Installing gnome-panel will remove mate-notification-daemon and frankly, I don't know if anyone conflicts will arise. The following extra packages will be ...
