xfce splash

I don't know if this is the correct forum for this, but I changed my splash screen and I want the mint splash back how do I tell it. I tried to put it back the way it was and a different splash screen occured.

here is a silly question, did you transfer your music to your hard drive? I use my creative zen with amarok and it won't play music unless it is on my hard drive. I could be wrong. I am still a novice when it comes to linux.

antiquexray did you configure amarok. If not goto settings then down to configure amarok. click on media devices then add devices. it then will ask about plugin click on arrow scroll down to apple ipod and answer all the questions.

errors in wine and when using UCK like bad device error. I did occasionally get these errors in Ubuntu, but only when I upgraded to 6.10. (in case you were wondering I did a clean install of mint)

what if?

what if I remove the mint-desktop and install ubuntu-desktop? I have been having so many bad devise error, and I have incompatiblity errors that I think it best to switch back to ubuntu and just use automatix to get the programs I love about mint.

Although my Creative micro zen is less advance than the vision, but it worked with Amarok, kind of. I saw all my music but I couldn't edit. I noticed Bansee works also with my micro zen.

I tryed this usplash changer and I tryed "update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.so" and they didn't work. All I got by removing the theme bea was nothing there. the latter I got this There are 5 alternatives which provide `usplash-artwork.so'. Selection Alternative -----------------...

I tryed that already and I am getting error messages basically saying that my cd-drive is unreadable. I switched from ubuntu to linuxmint and been having loads of problems.

Can you edit the mintmenu like alacarte or menu editor? Can you modify the size of mintmenu? I think you were writing about that, but I am not sure.

I found out that it didn't work any better, but it did give me a clue. Can anyone tell me how to use k9copy and have ntsc instead of pal. I think it is part of mencode, but I don't know.
