Well on a clean default install thru the wizard, I ended up with a large partition with home and everything else, and a 4gb swap file, in that order, on the disk.

Would performance be THAT much better if I put the swap file first? Or only for memory-intensive applications?

Hi. Thanks for looking/helping :) I used the software manager to install wine 1.2 and then popped in my Call of Duty CD and then used "Browse your virtual C: drive" to open up the wine explorer(?) and then went to the cod1 CD and double clicked "setup.exe". fsck on boot [SOLVED]

I tried

touch /forcefsck
before rebooting, it did the check, but didn't fix the errors. How do I get the fsck on boot to fix errors?
