I added some files to the folder late last night and today all the files in that folder are gone...at least visually in the file manager. I say ...

Chrome on linux

Does any one know of a way to force Chrome to use it's assigned theme for menu bg and text colours instead of using the GTK theme?

Re: gnome-system-monitor's network is at zero

Hi

I'm not on a linux system at the moment so this is just off the top of my head. Try looking in the preferences and make sure it is monitoring the correct port eg. eth0, or whatever network port you want it to monitor. Hope it helps. :)

Hi

See in the screenshot where it says "Lock panel" in the Panel settings dialogue? Try unlocking it then readjusting your panel. :D

Hi

Not sure if this is what you need. Try this page http://wiki.xfce.org/howto/kiosk_mode

Otherwise it might be best to post on the XFCE forum.

Re: a Windows-XP-like menu

The problem w/ that applet: it's quite buggy. hmm that's a shame, by the looks of it seems to get updated a bit. maybe you could submit bug for it (or leave a comment on the page), looks like the author is pretty responsive. I understand about the change thing, my 76-year-old mother was the same bu...

Re: a Windows-XP-like menu

Hi Firstly, I don't understand why any one wants to do this when the Mint menu is organized sooooo much better. It was one of the great revelations for me when I switched over from Windows. But did you see the comment down the bottom of the video? Points to this http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/...

Re: Linux Mint the right choice ?

I work with multi-media creation too and on one of my pc's I use Ubuntu Studio. You can check out the software list on that, they will work on Mint because they are both based on Ubuntu. I think there is a difference with the type of linux kernel used though. I think Ubuntu Studio uses the low laten...

Re: XFCE 16: Is There a Panel Hierarchy for Programs?

Hi I'm not sure if this is your issue, but you may be referring to the Window Buttons plugin and it's sorting method. To change the order in which programs appear on the task bar, do the following: - right-click on the panel/taskbar (somewhere in empty space) - choose "Panel" from the menu...

Mint 13 XFCE (13 is the Long Term Support release) is good for old computers, XFCE is lighter on resources than the others.

Re: LM13 XFCE: How to remove entries from the Games menu?

Synaptic should give a list of the game names in the description of the package and you should be able to uninstall individual games. If not here is a list of the games in the package...not sure if it's current though. Just search in synaptic for the game name eg. gnome-sudoku and mark for removal a...
