Re: Problem with LibreOffice Base

My situation is similar to yours. I have no problem with LibreOffice in Linux Mint 16. Then I upgrade (clean install) to Linux Mint 17. LibreOffice cannot open an existing database. The error is "No SDBC driver was found. A connection for the following URL was requested "sdbc:hsqldb". I finally figu...

Re: Seahorse/PGP Probs..

I feel compelled to add one last grumpy comment before I got away in a huff. The Seahorse issue, I had finally figured, could be effectively worked around by making a Nautilus script that would handle the encryption/decryption using gpg. I could live with that. But along the way, I discovered that ...

Re: Seahorse/PGP Probs..

I just installed Linux Mint 16, 64-bit, Cinnamon desktop. Added nemo-seahorse. Then ran into the same problem. Encrypt & Decrypt yields no output file. I either have to use gnupg command line, or use GPA frontend.

Re: nemo-seahorse locks up "Passwords and Keys"

I re-installed Linux Mint from scratch. Re-install nemo-seahorse via Sofware Manager instead of via Synaptic. No problem at all this time. Everything works as expected.

So my claim of bug is invalid. This issue is resolved.

Re: nemo-seahorse locks up "Passwords and Keys"

I picked up this info from a discussion thread on seahorse crashing. To get around this, just invoke in Terminal

Code: Select all

sudo seahorse

Re: nemo-seahorse locks up "Passwords and Keys"

I installed the latest version of nemo-seahorse (version 1.8.0+olivia) from Linux Mint 15 repository. Same problem as before. Uninstall nemo-seahorse and "Passwords and Keys" run again.

I have filed bug report on bugs.launchpad.net

Re: LM14RC (Mate 64bit) Truecrypt install/labelling issues

SOLUTION: I am running Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon and ran into the same problem. After googling around, this is the solution. 1. Mount your truecrypt container as usual. The mounted volume will show something like "10Gb Filesystem" 2. Menu > Preferences > Disks 3. In the Disk utility window, left column...

The future of LMDE ?

I am using Ubuntu up to version 10.10 now. I don't like Ubuntu 11.04 and later versions with Unity / Gnome 3 DE. Then I am trying various version of Linux Mint. Mint 11 is great. Mint 12 desktop is a disappointment. Mint 12 with Cinnamon is ok. Now LMDE with gnome is great so far. But from what I re...

Re: LMDE GNOME RC - 32 bit - missing core

I used package manager to install: linux-headers-2.6.39-686-pae and linux-image-2.6.39-686-pae (not 100% sure, because I am at the job where I use M$), then I updated GRUB with "sudo update-grub". If you installed everything OK and updated grub, on next restart you can choose 686 kernel. Try it and...
