Is there a setting on the TV that will allow you to disable overscan ? Not that I can find anywhere I have used this tv in the past with laptops and stuff both as a secondary monitor and as a stand alone monitor without issues its only now that I have it hooked up to a desktop that I am having issues

Can't even mount it though grub shows drive as empty but partitioned mostly correctly think I'm just gonna have to suck it up and lose the data that remains on there though I do believe most of it is available on an external drive.
Just purchased my first ssd so will be dropping that in laptop tonight

Situation is a little worse now as had a blackout laptop died and now regardless what computer it is in wether it be as an external usb drive as the primary drive installed in the computer I can not acces any partitions on the drive keeps coming up with input output error and it cant be mounted does...

Linux Mint 17.3 MATE 64-bit was installed on both sda7 and sda8. Filesystem on sda7 is inconsistent, went broke.
