Hi,

I have the a similarly set up as yourself, and having issue with my two graghic cards, and battery, i used the bumblebee repositories. Which made a big difference for me

Hi

i don't think Cinnamon will not work if you dont have a 3D accelerated graphics driver activated?

Might be still in gnome default fallback? which could be the case?

Hi I take it that you have all ready downloaded cinnamon from the synaptic packet manager? Log out of your desktop session and click on the cog icon before you login again, and sellect cinnamon, this should stay as cinnamon everytime you login (unless you change the desktop session by the same way) ...

Ok altair4 i auto mounted outside my home directory in media instead,

Which auto mounts just fine on every boot up.
