a mint openbox would be epic! :mrgreen: What's stopping you? :) rmcellig is halfway there already! Go for it, everything you need is in the repos... openbox takes a lot of configuring. something like crunchbang or manjaro openbox get you off to a nice start. i would like a openbox mint but ive trie...

so compiz doesnt work with mint 15 xfce? :? update! ok so i was able to get compiz installed and working. not sure why everyone else was having problems with it? since i havent used compiz in a while i was wondering how you set it to work on boot? on a side note. why in the world don't more distros ...

i agree. they did a great job on xfce. fast and stable. i feel like using old gnome 2 again. very very happy :D with so many new desktops out there im surprised more people aren't looking to xfce as a traditional desktop. i dont need a bunch of crazy search bars. xfce knows how to keep it simple and...

the forum is a little confusing to navigate. it would be nice to have sections for each version. we have a main section but doesnt the main version come with both mate and cinnamon? something like this would make it easier to browse the version you are using. linux mint cinnamon linux mint xfce linu...

editing the xfce menu

i know there are some topics on this already. ive used the alacarte program to edit but doesnt let you remove the program at the top of the menu. i want to be able to completely edit this menu. what's the best way.

yeah the mint menu is a little buggy. i went back to the xfce menu. havent had the firefox problems though.
