Legacy Version LibreOffice For Mint Maya

Quick, simple question for someone who knows the answer. What was the latest version of LibreOffice on the repositories for Maya?

I want to back up to that one, and I want to get the EXACT version I had, because I actually really liked it.

Thanks,
Keith

Sonya isn't as good as Maya

After 4 years of using Linux Mint Maya, I had to upgrade--in comes Sonya (Mate). All the normal upgrade issues had to be dealt with, no big deal. Then Caja doesn't behave as it used to. No highlighting of destination. Oops. I put in Nemo and like it better. Caja developers messed that one up. wlan0 ...

Re: Okular Default Paper Size--need LETTER as default

Aha! Solved!! After File --> Print, click Properties on the right side of the printer selection. Next, click on the Advanced tab. Change the page size to letter. The change sticks. Changing Page Region to letter does NOT stick, but it doesn't matter... or at least hasn't seemed to matter to me yet. ...

[Solved] Okular Default Paper Size--need LETTER as default

As a long-time user of Linux Mint, I thought I had everything figured out--more or less... However, the paper-size when printing from Okular is driving me crazy. It defaults to A4 as the size. I can change it to letter each time I print, but the next time I go to print from Okular, the default is ba...

Re: How to install the Nvidia proprietary drivers in LinuxMi

It really SHOULDN'T be this hard, but I have used LMDE Maya on the prior motherboard and liked it a lot. Also, I'm happy with the way Mint does software selection backup and restore. Thus, I'll beat this beast somehow... going from 32 bit to 64 bit with this nice new AMD MB and FX processor and 16GB...

Re: Wireless slowed down with update, Version Isadora

Okay, I'm getting closer. I installed wicd and got rid of network-manager completely. [And can't get it back now, by the way...] I have internet to the "mochine". It works on Knoppix. It also, I have discovered, works on my Windows virtual machine that runs under Mint. So V-Box is finding an interne...

Wireless slowed down with update, Version Isadora

I'm using Linux Mint 9, Isadora, the long-term release good through April 2013. I hadn't run an update for some months, and ran one the other day. Now the wireless connection is sloooooooowww. It's so slow that gmail and yahoo mail both prompt me to try the basic version. Firefox was updated, so I t...

Re: Samba not sharing printers

I reinstalled Mint 11 from the DVD, applied the fix to /etc/init/smbd.conf and printer sharing worked! Printers could be seen in smbtree and by WinXP client. Even after a reboot. But WinXP could not print (and explorer crashed) because "bi-directional communication could not be established". So I'v...

Getting pdf data into Open Office spreadsheet

Challenge: get some pdf files from brokerage houses (one is about 50 pages) into spreadsheets so I can make some calculations and reports. The way I had done it in the past--going back to when they were all on paper was scan and ocr--first time using the fabulous help from Kinkos. When I got tired o...

Re: What is the address of the printer? [SOLVED]

I solved the problem, but first the question I had asked, (which wasn't really the problem). Thanks to Scott Granneman and his great book, Linux Phrasebook , here's how to find the printer(s): lpstat -p lpstat -d lpstat -s More available in the man pages. Now, on to making the linux printer work wit...

What is the address of the printer? [SOLVED]

Hello, all. I have one printer installed. When I go look at in the printing properties, I get "usb://Brother/HL-5240%20series" When I try in a Windows virtual machine to use the "net use" command net use lpt1: \\keith-desktop\usb:\\Brother\HL-5240%20series mememe /user:keithxp then I get this error:...
