Re: Mint 17 XFCE Booting Not Automatic

This is a brand new computer yes. My old Linux box finally died after about 7 years of faithful service. I will get in there and try to re-order things again... and read up on the new UEFI technology.

Mint 17 XFCE Booting Not Automatic

Hi there I just did a fresh Mint 17 XFCE 64bit install on a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop. The only way I can boot the system successfully is to select F12 to access the boot options and select UBUNTU from the menu. This system is a stand alone - not dual boot. Changing the boot order does not correct the...

Re: Paralell to USB Adapter

I plugged the cable in this morning while turning the printer on and it connected and installed with no problem. I do realise it's a different usb port that i'm using so I'll have to check that out . Or it could certalnly be that it needs to be connected while the printer is searching for the comput...

SOLVED Paralell to USB Adapter

I hope someone out there can help me find a driver . I have an Inland Parallel to USB adapter for my old Canon BJC4300 printer. I want to use this dinosaur of a printer in my RV because it's smaller and it's a workhorse. I believe the printer is supported with cups, but I need a driver for the cable...

Sometimes it would happen right at system start and other times I could use the laptop for an hour before the mou...

Ok so they have a Tux badge and a Linux Inside but no ubuntu or mint.... However I think an e-mail to them could remedy that.

Just upgraded to Mint 12 and it works out of the box on my system. YEA!

Re: Mint stickers to cover windows

I picked up a linux inside case badge from thinkgeek.com . If I remember right they had them for ubuntu.... perhaps we could approach them about a mint badge. Based here in the USA shipping was not a problem.

Re: Linux Mint Search

Mine started having the error or forbidden message on Sunday morning (10/2) - I know this cause I was doing some research on Saturday and looking things up. If I go to google .com and search from there things work fine. It seems to be the Linux Mint start page. I'm running Firefox 3.6.23 on Mint 9. ...
