running and talking about puppy got me thinkin about checking out slackware itself.... Slackware 13.37 .iso is even bigger than #! the torrent im DLing is 4.3Gib. not what i expected.

I haven't done my research, but Gnome 3 doesn't run tint2? Is that more of a Xfce thing? Cuz if you can find the tint2 file to edit then you're good to go. I havent had a problem getting my debian based to get on a secure wireless, as long as you have the wpa/wpa2 key.

LibreOffice does fairly well for basic text docs. If you have to embed graphs and things, then I understand the need for M$ Office since that is what everyone else is using/
