Re: Linux Mint 13 "Maya" RC released!

Is it possible to upgrade an existing Mint 12 desktop to 13? Or only clean install possible?

Re: Multimedia keys

Thanks for the reply.
I work on the gnome desktop.
I've tried that way before, changing the shortcuts, but this won't help.
When i push those multimedia buttons (play, previous, next), i get such a forbidden sign on my screen.

Since i installed Mint 12, the multimediakeys on my keyboard doesn't work. VOL+, VOL- and MUTE working well.
Tried change stuff in 'systemsettings - Keyboard - Shortcuts", but nothing change.
Anyone any idea?

lspci -v|grep VGA

Re: getting cpufreqd to work

I'm pretty sure it is.
Didn't work when i upgraded the kernel to version 3.x.
Even tried with other distros, with the same result: no control to change the freq of the CPU.

Re: getting cpufreqd to work

Ok, its installed.
Even installed indicator-cpufreq (ppa:artfwo/ppa).
Now, i see CPU frequency won't change...
I think its a kernel issue.
Does anyone got a fix for that?

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

Just installed release 12.
Feels 'slow'. Doesn't work as fast as release 11.
Just a feeling, no idea why :)

Re: sources.list

Same here.
I have temporary uncomment the getdeb lines in my sources file.
Probably server down.
